The Gateway International Insurance Plans offer solutions for special insurance needs when traveling abroad. They are available to members, their families, and associates.


The plans are useful in many situations, and particularly when existing coverage is limited, during international business or leisure travel; when participating in academic, business or cultural exchange activities; or for employees, contract workers or consultants on international assignments.


All plans offer combined insurance and services, such as coverage for accident and illness medical expenses, transportation expenses associated with medical evacuation and repatriation, indemnity in event of accidental death or dismemberment, and worldwide travel and medical assistance services. Depending on the plan selected, other features and options are available.

Patriot Multi-TripSM

Coverage designed for the executive that takes multiple trips throughout the year outside his or her home country. The plan provides coverage up to 45 days in length for each trip. It offers the ease and convenience of purchasing a single annual plan at an affordable premium.


Gateway USA

International accident and sickness coverage for individuals traveling inbound to the United States organization from 5 days to 24 months.


Gateway International

International accident and sickness coverage for individuals traveling outbound from the United States from 5 days up to 24 months.


Patriot Platinum

International accident and sickness coverage for individuals who are traveling outside their home country/country of residence, from 5 days up to 36 months.


Sky Rescue

Coverage for such benefits as emergency medical evacuation, repatriation, reunion and emergency assistance services.

  • Can coverage be extended?

    Gateway USA cannot be renewed when initial enrollment in the plan is for less than 3 months. However, a new Term of Insurance may be issued provided a new Application and premium is received, and eligibility requirements continue to be met. Each subsequent Application represents a separate Term of Insurance subject to plan provisions including limitations and exclusions.
