What is Prescription Discount Card?

The Prescription Discount Card is managed by a leading pharmacy benefit manager that specializes in controlling costs, creating customized solutions and delivering best–in–class service for its clients. The program provider worked closely with pharmacies and drug manufacturers to negotiate lower prices for thousands of prescription medications and is sharing these savings with you.

How does the Prescription Discount Card Program work?

Simply present your Prescription Discount Card at a participating pharmacy when you fill your next prescription. Discounts are given at the time of purchase, so there are no receipts to submit or claim forms to fill out.

How much will I save?

Discounts average from 20 percent to 50 percent, depending on what drugs you buy and where you buy them. To save the most money, choose generic drugs first. If you are taking a brand–name prescription, talk with your doctor about a possible generic. Often, a doctor can prescribe a less expensive, generic drug that works as well as the brand–name you are currently taking – but at a significant discount.

How will this affect me if I am enrolled in Medicare Part D?

If you are enrolled in Medicare part D, payments using the Prescription Discount Card Program may count towards your true out–of–pocket expenses. Please contact your Part D plan for more information. Use your Prescription Discount Card to save money on prescriptions NOT covered by your Medicare Plan D plan.
