IEEE Member Discount Prescription Card

Save an average of 20 percent on prescription drugs not covered by insurance and as much as 50 percent on select generic medication when ordering by mail.

Use your prescription discount card at 9 out of 10 pharmacies nationwide. Present your card at a participating pharmacy and pay either the discounted rate or the pharmacy's regular retail price, whichever is lower.

All IEEE members and their dependents in the United States, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands are eligible. This discount card is administered by CVS Caremark.

This is NOT insurance. Discounts are only available at participating pharmacies. By using this card, you agree to pay the entire prescription cost less any applicable discount. Savings may vary by drug and by pharmacy. Savings are based on actual 2012 drug purchases for all drug discount card programs administered by CVS Caremark located in Woonsocket, RI. The program administrator may obtain fees or rebates from manufacturers and/or pharmacies based on your prescription drug purchases. These fees or rebates may be retained by the program administrator or shared with you and/or your pharmacy. Prescription claims through this program will not be eligible for reimbursement through Medicaid, Medicare or any other government program. This program does not guarantee the quality of the services or products offered by individual providers. We do not sell your personal information. Call the member toll-free number on the back of your ID card to file a complaint related to this program. Note to Texas Consumers: You may contact the Texas Department of Insurance if you remain dissatisfied after completing this program's complaint process.

Member Savings

The Prescription Discount Program provides significant savings for members.

Average Percent Savings:

  • Average savings of 20 percent off the regular price of prescription medicine at participating pharmacies
  • Extra savings up to 50 percent when using mail service
Discounts average from 20 percent to 50 percent, depending on what drugs you buy and where you buy them. To save the most money, choose generic drugs first. If you are taking a brand–name prescription, talk with your doctor about a possible generic. Often, a doctor can prescribe a less expensive, generic drug that works as well as the brand–name you are currently taking – but at a significant discount.
If you are enrolled in Medicare part D, payments using the Prescription Discount Card Program may count towards your true out–of–pocket expenses. Please contact your Part D plan for more information. Use your Prescription Discount Card to save money on prescriptions NOT covered by your Medicare Plan D plan.
